History of the Club

The idea to create the first professional cycling club in Belarus belongs to the Belarus Cycling Federation (BCF). During several years the Chairman of the Minsk Executive Committee and the Head of the BCF Nikolay Ladutko, the BCF Vice-President Alexey Ivanov anf the BCF Sport Director Natalya Tsylinskaya worked on this unique project.

It was easy to find supporters of this idea in the country having glorious traditions in cycling and actively promoting healthy lifestyles, and in September 2013 the creation of the LLC Minsk Cycling Club was announced. Among its founders were the Minsk city Olympic reserve cycling center (75% of charter capital), Joint-Stock Company Motovelo (15%) and Cultural and Sports Complex Minsk-Arena (10%).

The list of Minsk Cycling Club’s partners looks impressive: Cycling Brand AIST, MOTOVELO, LUCH, ALMI, NA NEMIGE Shopping Mall, DREAM MARKETING, OTIKO, BELMETALL, LUKBELSERVICE, TsUM MINSK Store, BELPLAST, MINSK PROJECT MEBEL,  LYUDMILA,  ALESYA, BESSER-BEL.

In future this list will only grow considering what possibilities in promoting products and services worldwide the participation of the club teams in the biggest international events opens to Belarusian companies.

Minsk Cycling Club has already created and registered within the International Cycling Union (UCI) a Track team and a Continental Road team.

Minsk Cycling Club is going to use Belarusian cyclists as one of its main goals is to revive glorious traditions of Belarusian cycling, especially in Track Cycling, and to create additional conditions for a successful performance of the Belarus National team riders at the World and European Championships  as well as in the Olympic Games.

The cyclists will be provided with bikes of the legendary Belarusian brand AIST, technical sponsor of the club.

Sport performances are the main part of Minsk Cycling Club activities, but at the same time the club has other important objectives such as promoting the Republic of Belarus and its capital Minsk at the international level, developing cycling in the Republic of Belarus, as one of the healthy lifestyle components, within the framework of the ideology “Belarus – sport country”, developing tourism in the Republic of Belarus, bringing to the country international competitions in different sports.
