Serguei Ruban To Coach Sprinters

Serguei Ruban, a former high-level Russian rider, has been appointed as a coach of the Minsk Cycling Club Sprint team.

Serguei Ruban was born on May 7, 1978 in Kharkov. He started cycling there. He won many times National Championships of Ukraine in sprint, set a few national records.

In 2003 he moved to Russia, changed his nationality. The next year he won the World Cup in sprint and keirin, and was a medal winner in team sprint. In 2005 Ruban finished third at the European Championships. Three times he won the Russian Championships (2004, 2005, 2008). Moreover, Serguei has on his account a few national records of Russia in sprint.

After finishing his career Ruban turned to coaching, and now he shares his experience with young Belarussian riders.
